Overview

The custard apple pulping machine is suitable for separating pulp and residue from crushed and pre-cooked pome fruits and various berries.

Applications and Features

Single Channel Pulping Machine is suitable for pulping and separating crushed tomatoes, kiwis, strawberries, apples, pears, and pre-cooked and softened fruits such as hawthorns and dates.

Working Principle:

  1. DJ-type pulping machine: The motor drives the scraper mounted on the spline shaft at high speed via belt drive. When the crushed fruit enters the machine through the feed inlet, the receiving tray evenly distributes the material to the scraper and screen. Due to the rotation of the scraper and the lead angle, the material moves along the cylinder towards the outlet in a spiral pattern. During this movement between the scraper and the screen cylinder, the material is crushed by centrifugal force. The juice and pulp (now in pulp form) pass through the screen holes and are sent to the next process (double-stage and triple-stage pulping machines repeat the above process in a linked manner). The peel and seeds are discharged from the residue hopper, achieving automatic separation. By changing the screen size and adjusting the scraper lead angle, different pulping speeds can be achieved to obtain satisfactory results.
  2. MDJ Type Pulping Machine: The motor drives the rotor mounted on the spline shaft at high speed via belt drive. Fruit enters the machine through the feed inlet, and the feeding blades spirally convey the material to the pulping rods. Under the action of the pulping rods, the material is mashed. Due to centrifugal force, the juice and pulp (now in a pulpy state) pass through the screen holes (the screen holes are determined according to the size of the fruit pit) into the next pulping stage. The pit is discharged to the discharge outlet by the slag discharge blades, thus achieving automatic pulp-slag separation.

This machine is available in single-stage and double-stage models. When used for pulping stone fruits (such as mangoes), if a single-stage pitting pulper is selected, the peel and pulp flow from the discharge hopper into the buffer tank, and the pit is discharged from the slag outlet. The double-stage pitting pulper removes the pit in the first stage and then automatically separates the pit, peel, and slag in the second stage. We recommend users prioritize using the core-removing double-stage pulper. The pulping principle is the same as the DJ-type pulper.

Operation and Precautions

  1. The machine must be installed horizontally and secured with anchor bolts.
  2. Tighten all bolts on the machine and check that all screws inside the shafts are secure. Clean the entire machine inside and out, keeping it clean.
  3. Connect the drive motor power supply and confirm that the machine’s rotation direction matches the direction indicator.
  4. Run the machine for 5 minutes to confirm it is functioning normally before feeding material.
  5. Then, add material evenly, avoiding impact. Depending on the specific slag and pulp output, adjust the scraper’s spiral angle and the gap between the scraper and the screen appropriately after stopping the machine to ensure the slag’s juice content meets the process requirements. Scraper spiral angle adjustment: Adjust the scraper’s inclination by adjusting the bolts on the front and rear shafts; Scraper-screen gap adjustment: Adjust the distance between the pulping plate and the screen by adjusting the nuts on the shafts.
  6. To stop the machine, simply disconnect the motor power supply. 7. Do not open the front cover of the drum while the rotor is still rotating. The front cover can be opened by turning the handwheel counterclockwise.
  7. The filter screen must be washed with water and a brush after each shift. To clean, open the front cover, unscrew the tension screw at one end of the spline, and the rotor assembly can be easily pulled out; the screen can then be removed directly.
  8. Regularly check if the motor is overloaded and overheating, and whether the bearings are lubricated.
