Carrot spiral juicer
By admin

Overview
The carrot screw juicer uses a screw propulsion system, where the volume of the screw cavity gradually decreases, thus compressing the material. This machine is suitable for juicing crushed fruits and vegetables.
Spiral Juice Extractor is also suitable for juicing crushed pome fruits such as pineapple, apple, and pear.
Working Principle: The crushed pulp, juice, and peel enter the screw juicer through the feed hopper. As the screw’s bottom diameter gradually increases and the pitch gradually decreases along the direction of the residue outlet, the material is propelled by the screw, and the shrinking screw cavity volume creates compression. The rotation direction of the screw shaft is counterclockwise when viewed from the feed hopper towards the residue trough. Raw materials are added to the feed hopper and compressed under the screw’s propulsion. The extracted juice flows through a filter screen into the juice container at the bottom, while waste is discharged through the annular gap formed between the screw and the pressure-adjusting conical section. The size of the gap can be adjusted by moving the pressure head axially. The gap between the pressure adjusting head and the spiral conical surface can be changed by manually rotating the handwheel bearing seat, thus adjusting the resistance to slag discharge and altering the slag output rate. However, if the gap is too small, under strong pressure, some slag particles will be squeezed out along with the juice through the filter screen. Although the juice output increases, the quality of the juice decreases relatively. The size of the gap should be determined according to the user’s specific process requirements. This achieves the purpose of automatic separation of juice and slag.
Installation, Operation, and Maintenance
- The machine must be installed horizontally and secured with anchor bolts.
- Tighten all bolts on the machine. Clean the inside and outside of the machine, keeping it clean.
- Before connecting the drive motor power, adjust the pressure head to maximize the annular gap. Operating method: Pull up the brake pin and rotate it 90 degrees to lock it in place. Then, rotate the handwheel counterclockwise to increase the gap between the pressure adjusting head and the spiral conical surface. (The change in the gap between the pressure adjusting head and the spiral conical surface can be observed by opening the observation cover on the upper part of the rear support.)
- Connect the drive motor power and confirm that the machine’s rotation direction matches the direction indicator. 5. After a 5-minute trial run to confirm the machine is functioning correctly, normal feeding can begin.
- Feeding must be uniform. Hard foreign objects are strictly prohibited from entering the hopper to avoid damaging the screen.
- After feeding, turn the handwheel clockwise to gradually reduce the gap between the pressure adjusting head and the spiral cone surface. Once the process requirements are met, rotate the brake pin 90 degrees to secure it in the handwheel bearing seat groove under spring force, thus fixing the handwheel bearing seat.
- To stop the machine, simply disconnect the motor power.
- After each shift, the filter screen must be washed with water and a brush. If filtering juices with a high fiber content, an additional screen washing may be necessary depending on production volume. After pressing, rinse the entire machine with hot water.
- Regularly check if the motor is overheating due to overload and if the bearings require lubrication.
