Onion spiral juicer

Overview
The onion spiral juicer uses a screw-driven extrusion process, utilizing the gradual reduction in the volume of the spiral chamber to compress the material. This machine is suitable for juicing crushed fruits and vegetables.
Spiral Juice Extractor is also suitable for juicing crushed pome fruits such as pineapples, apples, and pears.
Working Principle: Crushed pulp, juice, and peel enter the juicer through the feed hopper. As the spiral gradually increases in diameter and decreases in pitch toward the residue outlet, the spiral chamber shrinks as the material is pushed forward, compressing the material. The main shaft of the spiral rotates counterclockwise, viewed from the feed hopper toward the residue trough. The raw material is fed into the feed hopper and compressed by the spiral. The squeezed juice flows through a filter screen into a juice container at the bottom, while the waste material is discharged through the annular gap formed between the spiral and the tapered pressure regulating section. The pressure regulating head can be moved axially to adjust the gap size. Manually turning the handwheel on the bearing housing changes the gap between the pressure regulating head and the spiral cone, adjusting the resistance to slag discharge and thus the slag discharge rate. However, if the gap is too small, some slag particles will be squeezed out through the filter along with the juice under strong pressure. Although juice yield increases, the quality of the juice decreases. The size of the gap should be determined based on the user’s specific process requirements to achieve automatic separation of juice and slag.

Installation, Operation, and Maintenance

  1. The machine must be installed level and secured with anchor bolts.
  2. Tighten all bolts on the entire machine. Clean the machine inside and out to keep it clean.
  3. Before turning on the drive motor, adjust the pressure head to maximize the annular gap. To do this: Pull up the brake pin and rotate it 90° to secure it. Then, turn the handwheel counterclockwise to increase the gap between the pressure regulating head and the spiral cone. (Open the inspection cover on the upper rear support to observe the change in the gap between the pressure regulating head and the spiral cone.)
  4. Turn on the drive motor and confirm that the machine’s rotation direction is consistent with the direction indicator. 5. Run the machine for 5 minutes to confirm that everything is functioning properly before feeding.
  5. Ensure the feed is even and prevent hard foreign objects from entering the hopper to prevent damage to the screen.
  6. After feeding, turn the handwheel clockwise to gradually reduce the gap between the pressure regulating head and the spiral cone. Once the process requirements are met, rotate the brake pin 90° so that the spring force engages the groove in the handwheel bearing seat, securing the handwheel bearing seat.
  7. When shutting down, simply disconnect the motor power supply.
  8. Clean the filter screen with water and a brush after each shift. If fine-filtering juice with a high fiber content, wash the screen occasionally, depending on production conditions. After squeezing, rinse the entire machine with hot water.
  9. Regularly check the motor for overload and heat, and check if the bearings need lubrication.
